Apple iPod 30GB Black

Apple iPod 30GB Black (video) [Discontinued

Overview

With room for all your music and video, this iPod has both sound and vision. Of course, it also boasts stamina (up to 20 hours(1) of battery life), generous capacity (30GB or 60GB(2) of storage), a great personality (intuitive, customisable menus) and a touch of genius (the Apple Click Wheel). In other words, iPod makes an ideal companion. Why not get to know it better? Just click on a feature to see it on the new iPod display, then read about it here.

Set your music in motion
First, iPod put music in your pocket. Now it puts on a show. With support for up to 15,000 songs and up to 150 hours of video on a 2.5-inch QVGA color display, iPod gives you the ultimate music experience sight and sound in a lighter, thinner design. Available in classic white and dramatic black.

Music to your eyes
With its 320 x 240-pixel QVGA color display, iPod lets you view photos and watch MPEG-4 and H.264 video wherever you go.* View your own videos, or watch music videos and TV shows you can purchase from the iTunes Music Store.

More features in less space
Incredibly, iPod will fit in even more pockets than ever. Measuring less than half an inch thin, the 30GB iPod takes up about 45 percent less space than the original iPod. Even the 60GB model is over 10 percent thinner than the fourth-generation 30GB iPod.

Apple Ipod Touch

Description:

The new iPod touch comes with more memory and a new curvy one-piece back shell. And for those on a tight budget, Apple has dropped the price on the 8G model from $399 to $329.
You can basically think of it as an iPhone without the phone, so you will still get access to Apple’s app store, and its built-in Wi-Fi wireless networking means you can connect to your wireless network at home and download music, games and other files straight to the touch.
The screen is a large 3.5in and 480 by 320 pixels, which is ideal for movies, although the player comes with no video conversion software for this task. Battery life has improved significantly – up from 24 to 36 hours for audio, and up to six hours for video.
It also has the accelerometer feature – you’ve probably seen the TV ads where someone is playing a car racing game and turning the touch like a steering wheel to change direction.

Apple iPod Nano

apple ipod nano

Apple’s popular portable media player has had a facelift and some new features added, including a new lower price.
The 8G version is better value at just $199, but not everything is improved. The nano still delivers 24 hours of battery life for audio, but video playback has dropped from five hours to four.
Apple has gone back to the slender design of older nanos and reorientated the screen from landscape back to portrait. The major new feature is the accelerometer, a component that enables the player to measure movement. It’s also used in the iPod touch and the iPhone and it allows you to use a feature called ‘shake to shuffle’. To get a new song playing, just shake the player and it will choose a song randomly from your playlist.
Another useful feature available for users of Windows Vista or Mac OS X Leopard is a spoken-word interface, allowing the visually impaired to use an iPod by listening to the menu options.

Apple iPod Video Review

Apple iPod video Review
Introduction:

Apple is hot. Whether you like it or not, whether you are a Windows or Mac freak or just that average consumer behind his desktop or notebook, Apple is everywhere. My personal interest in Apple products began with the introduction of de stylish PowerBooks and powerful PowerMacs. The designs are simply beautiful. Of course the iPod also caught my eye, and especially Apple's latest introduction of a video version of the Apple iPod is of great interest to me. It features a sharp and colourful display and is able to show me my favourite video clips, films and pictures. A whole bunch of them because the storage capacity reaches up to 60GB (Apple offers 30 en 60GB models). The first Apple iPods only played songs, then it expanded to photos and on the way 'pod casting' was invented, today the iPod plays video as well. Apple sent me the new black coloured iPod 60GB version. I took some time to get into iPod...

Apple iPod video LCD display:

The design of the iPod looks similar to that of previous products, but it has a finer and slimmer build. In a way, the design was not a surprise, but well why change a success story for something unsure. Its dimensions are just great. Imaging those old hard disks you had in your desktops, bulky and heavy. The Apple iPod is in fact a hard disk with extended features. It is quite astonishing that Apple is able to create a device with such ultra small dimensions and up to 60GB capacity. It is about 10 percent thinner than the 4th generation 20GB iPod. The new iPod version features a larger format LCD display of 2.5-inch format with a QVGA resolution.

Apple iPod shuffle
the new iPod shuffle is half a cubic inch in volume, weighs half an ounce and features a minimal aluminum design with a built-in clip, making it the most wearable iPod ever. The new iPod shuffle contains one gigabyte of flash memory which holds up to 240 songs, and is priced at just $79.
its ultra-compact design and built-in clip, the new iPod shuffle is the most wearable iPod ever,

According to Apple, the new iPod shuffle features up to 12 hours of battery life.

Users connect the new iPod shuffle to their Mac or PC with the included dock, and iTunes’ AutoFill feature automatically syncs the perfect number of songs from their music library..

apple-ipod-nano.jpg
Owning an Apple iPod can be loads of fun but it can make you something of a watchdog too considering the number of ruffians on the prowl. And believe it or not an Apple iPod can be a great steal too but not anymore as Apple has come up with an anti-theft system that will put the stolen iPods low on the popularity charts of the thieves. The patent, titled "Protecting electronic devices from extended unauthorized use," outlines an extremely (probably) useful technique of authenticating itself with certain user-approved power supplies and devices so that it can only be charged by those devices. That can be quite a pain if you really think about it. Imagine yourself chilling with your folks and you run out of battery all you can do is sulk as you haven’t carried your very own charger. That can be quite a lackluster situation. But then again there is a price you gotta pay if you want the thief to be away.

Motorola AURA
Motorola has broken new ground in the mobile phone fashion stakes with its latest handset - the uniquely designed AURA. While the phones’ specs - which include a 2MP camera, H.264 video capture, 2GB on board memory, hands-free Bluetooth connectivity and an open source browser - don’t exactly set it apart from the pack, the craftsmanship, classic styling and high-end materials that have been utilized to create it certainly do. The immediately recognizable highlight is the circular liquid-crystal display, an industry first innovation inspired by luxury watch design that incorporates 16 million colors and 300 dpi resolution protected by a highly scratch-resistant 62-carat sapphire crystal lens. We’re not sure how practical this would be in terms of usability, but it certainly oozes elegance.
A great deal of engineering has gone into making sure you can open the phone - its drive-assisted rotating blade mechanism, relies on a 200 piece Swiss-made main bearing and Rockwell 50-55 hardened steel gears (which use the same tungsten carbide coating as high-performance racing engines) to deliver seamless access to the keypad.

"Eco Naturalmente" (Naturally Thinking Green) was introduced in early 2007 with the objective of reducing CO2 emissions from the boardroom to the BTS. To date, by the introduction of 100% Solar Hybrid powered GSM sites, annual CO2 emissions are reduced by over 5,000 tons, with 7,000 tons targeted by the end of 2010.
Replacing conventional diesel powered sites has not only resulted in Mcel being able to offer connectivity in remote locations outside the electricity grid, OPEX savings of USD 405,000.00 per annum at current oil prices; a CAPEX payback of around 12 months per site, have been achieved.

VNL

VNL – VNL’s solar-powered GSM base station

VNL’s WorldGSM is a zero-opex solar-powered GSM system specifically designed to enable operators to build commercial networks in remote rural areas where ARPUs are < $2 a month.
For years operators have struggled with the same problem: Traditional GSM equipment was not designed for emerging markets. It costs too much to buy and maintain, uses too much power and is difficult to deploy (especially in areas with no electricity, poor roads and no engineers).
VNL has re-engineered GSM to overcome these challenges. Finally operators have a way to provide services for the three billion people who are not covered by a mobile network.

The GSMA Global Mobile Awards is the premier international showcase of product, service and creative excellence for the mobile industry; awards include a wide range of categories that are relevant for players of all sizes in the mobile value chain. In 2009, Innovation took center stage at the Global Mobile Awards as CooTek won the "Cup".
As a category of the Global Mobile Awards, we introduced the Mobile Innovation 'Grand Prix' for promising entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized companies developing and introducing innovative products and services.
The Mobile Innovation Grand Prix category differs from other Global Mobile Award categories in that it's a year-round process with several stages of judging through the year, including physical presentations at associated events and industry partner awards winners as well. During each regional event, two overall winners have won a trip to Barcelona to compete as a Finalist for the Mobile Innovation Grand Prix Cup which took place yesterday afternoon in front of the judges and a global audience. We look to the industry experts and pull from a broad array of sources; such as Operators, Venture Capital firms, Industry suppliers, etc.. In addition, we have worked closely with RIM and Qualcomm Ventures, and have fed their innovation award winners into our Global Finalists.
And here is what the judges had to say, "Against a broad spectrum of Global Finalists, this year's winner for the Mobile Innovation Grand Prix illustrated innovation, creativity and global impact. Our industry faces enormous pressures to deliver smarter and more cost effective networks. Smart antennas are a tough course to follow, and our winner has been pursuing their journey with what appears to be great benefits, resilience, and technical innovation. It was a tough decision for the judging panel, but our winner demonstrated great potential to advance our core business and we are proud to announce Ubidyne as this year's stand out GSMA Innovation winner."

Skycross

SkyCross Inc. – SkyCross iMAT (isolated mode antenna technology) Antennas

The antenna is the only structure in a mobile device that communicates with the network. This one fact makes the antenna pivotal to how the device, the network, and ultimately the service provider are perceived by end-users. iMAT antennas from SkyCross utilize a patented antenna design technique that enables a single optimized MIMO antenna element to take the place of multiple antennas in small wireless devices. This lowers cost, enables sleeker designs, and streamlines the integration process, compared to traditional antenna design approaches. SkyCross iMAT antennas are carrier proven to boost the capacity, data rates, and reliability of 4G networks.
